Junior Membership
KSOA Junior Membership
The first line of our Association’s mission statement reads, “The mission of the Kansas Sports Officials Association is to provide a path for excellence in officiating for our members”. We would love for this pathway to begin earlier with officials working in the various youth sports programs in our area. Junior Membership in the KSOA is a great way to make this happen! Below are the goals of and process to become a junior member.
What is Junior Membership?
Junior Membership is an opportunity for officials to join the KSOA who are 23 years of age and younger OR who are brand new to officiating regardless of age. For $20 a year ($22 if paying by credit card or through PayPal), these individuals receive the educational materials and networking opportunities available to full members.
Why become a Junior Member?
Many young and/or new officials are not provided a clear pathway for growth and development as a sports official. Through Junior Membership in the KSOA, these individuals get connected with an association that can connect them with high level officials, expose them to top notch training, help them smoothly transition into officiating at the high school level, and further develop them as officials and people.
