What is The Third Team Series?
Summer 2020 will feature a collaborative webinar series presented by the Kansas Sports Officials Association (KSOA, Kansas City Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (KCISOA), Kansas Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (KISOA), Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), Kansas USSF Referee Program, and the Heartland Referee Program.
This series includes high caliber presenters with content that pertains to officials of all ages and experience levels. Cost to participate is FREE. If you referee soccer in Kansas at any level, you are welcome to join these unique, exciting training opportunities! Each session will run from approximately 7:00-8:30pm. Please register by completing this form so we can keep you updated on these events, share additional educational content and get an idea of who is tuning into these events. Below is an outline of the series.

About KSOA Soccer
The Kansas Sports Officials Association provides a path for excellence in officiating for our soccer referees through recruitment, training, evaluation, and networking. If you are not currently a KSOA soccer official, we encourage you to take a look around our website, specifically at our Member Benefits, Bylaws and Frequently Asked Questions.
Becoming a KSOA member is easy and can be done completely online. The application to become a member can be found under Join Now and your options to pay annual dues are clearly laid out under Pay Dues. Annual dues are $35 for one sport, $45 for two sports, and $55 for three or more sports (a $2 transaction fee is charged for PayPal and credit card payments). If you have any questions about membership in the KSOA, don't hesitate to email our Membership Committee at email@example.com.
Below you will find information on how to become a KSHSAA registered official as well as links to NFHS publications and information about our partner assigning organization, Call the Game. Along with KSHSAA administrator Rod Garman, new officials are welcome to reach out to the Call the Game soccer sport coordinators Gordie Wetmore and Ellen O'Leary and the Call the Game Director of Officials John Dehan to answer any questions.
Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA)
In order to officiate high school soccer, referees must be registered with the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA). Click on the KSHSAA logo to learn more and to register as a KSHSAA official. The KSHSAA administrator for soccer is Rod Garman.
KSHSAA Requirements to Officiate High School Soccer
Register with and pay KSHSAA dues
Successful completion of a NFHS Soccer rules test (a score of 90 or higher to be eligible to officiate post season contests)
Attend a KSHSAA rules meeting (either in-person or online this year)
